Blending In

We went to Albion Basin early Saturday morning and stumbled on an incredible song bird spot. There were too many different kinds to identify everything. Eventually I just laid down and went still. The birds would drop into trees right over me. I saw:
Townsend's warbler (VERY cool black and yellow bird)
- Mountain chickadees
- Red breasted nuthatch
- Tons of pine siskens
- white capped sparrows
Cassin's finch (my favorite bird for the day)
Pine grosbeaks (New bird for me)
